Control Unit Options

All Tapeswitch electronic ribbon switches can be manufactured with either 2-wire or fail-safe 4-wire options. When the ribbon switch is required for a safety system or critical alarm circuit we recommend that fail-safe wiring is used with a suitable control unit, such as one of our PSSU Control Units, with which the functional safety of the Tapeswitch ribbon switch fulfils category 3 EN954-1. It provides positive indication of normal operation, switch failure, broken connections and loss of power.

Visit our Control Units page for further details on the full range of Tapeswitch Control Units.
